What's actually in a Tiffly thali
Rice, dal, sabji, fries and more — the real portions in every thali we cook, from the standard veg to the special chicken.
Team Tiffly · · 3 min read

The thali is the lunch our kitchen is built around. Twelve of them sit on the menu, and they all start from the same honest base.
The base, in every thali
- Rice — 250g
- Dal — 150ml
- Sabji — 100g in a standard thali
- Fries — 70g
- Papad
The standard Veg Thali adds a salad. Then each thali brings its own main:
- Egg Thali — one egg curry
- Fish Thali — one piece of fish, Rui or Kathla
- Chicken Thali — two chicken pieces
- Paneer Thali — 100g paneer
What “special” adds
Every special thali doubles the sabji to two, and most add a sweet. The Special Veg Thali, for example, is rice 250g, dal 150ml, two sabji (150g), fries, 80g of paneer, papad and a sweet.
Veg, egg or non-veg — marked every time
Every dish in the app carries a veg, egg or non-veg mark, so you never have to guess which thali is which.
